NEW YORK, NY, September 1, 2017

MarketFactory announced today that Vladimir Shchutskiy, former head of IT infrastructure at FastMatch, has joined the company as director of infrastructure. Based in New York, Vladimir will be responsible for MarketFactory’s low-latency cloud. Vladimir will report directly to MarketFactory CEO Darren Jer.

Vladimir joined FastMatch in 2012 as its third employee. At FastMatch, he was responsible for network and server infrastructure, system monitoring frameworks, and building out the infrastructure team.

“Vlad is an amazing engineer who helped scale FastMatch to a position of industry leadership. We loved working with Vlad as a business partner and are even more enthusiastic about how he will continue to scale MarketFactory’s global trading and data infrastructure,” said Darren Jer, CEO, MarketFactory.

This marks the next phase of MarketFactory’s ongoing investment in monitoring, support, performance and scalability for its software products Whisperer, Reflector, and Data across LD4, NY4, TY3 and Aurora.

“MarketFactory is the top connectivity and only real pre-trade risk provider in foreign exchange. Given its high growth, consistent investment in R&D, and global infrastructure presence, it was an exciting opportunity I could not pass up. I am delighted to be a part of the MarketFactory team,” said Vladimir Shchutskiy.

Vladimir has over 20 years experience in network, systems and infrastructure engineering. Prior to FastMatch, he served as senior network architect at Spot Trading, Lava Trading, Citi, DTCC and Thomson Reuters.
